Case Studies: Lab Tested CBD™ Badge


Here are some case studies we have conducted using the Lab Tested CBD™ Badge on websites selling CBD products.



Case Study 1: An 18% Increase in Revenue

  • We conducted an A/B test of otherwise identical websites with and without the Lab Tested CBD™ Badge displayed.
  • This test was setup using 5 different CBD websites over a two month period.
  • On the version of the websites with the badge, the Lab Tested CBD™ Badge was displayed on the bottom right corner of each page of the website.
  • There was an average of an 18% increase in revenue on the version of the websites with the badges being displayed during the testing period.


Case Study 2: A 16% Increase in Revenue and a 5% Increase in Revenue

  • We conducted a study of 3 landing pages for different variations of the same website during a 7 week period.
  • We conducted a three way split test:
    • One website had a "sticky" Lab Tested CBD™ Badge in the bottom right corner of the landing page.
    • A second version of the identical website displayed the badge in a prominent place in the footer.
    • A third version of the landing page displayed no badge at all.
  • On the website with the "sticky" Lab Tested CBD™ Badge displayed in the bottom right corner, there was a 16% increase in revenues compared to the website with no badge.
  • There was a 5% increase in revenues on the website with the Lab Tested CBD™ Badge displayed in the footer compared to the website with no badge displayed.

Case Study 3: A 22% improvement in bounce rate and an 8% increase of time spent in the online store

  • We conducted a split test involving 4 different websites in which the Lab Tested CBD™ badge was displayed on every page of an online store selling CBD oils and tinctures.
  • We tested this against the same version of each online store without the badge displayed.
  • This test was conducted over a 10 week period and included data from over 1 million impressions.
  • During this test we meausred bounce rate as well as the amount of time each user spent in the online store before continuing with the purchase or exiting the page.
  • At the end of this test there was a 22% improvement in the bounce rate from the online store with the Lab Tested CBD™ Badge displayed compared to the website with no badge.
  • We also found that users spent more time browsing through the store (8% longer on average) with the badge displayed.
